If it's exhaust,
it's what we do.

We bend pipe in-house. We weld on the lift. We've done it for two decades on Fenkell. Same-day on most jobs — drop in, we'll show you the leak before we touch it.

Sound familiar?

Six signs your exhaust
wants attention.

Exhaust problems start small and get expensive. Catch them at the symptom stage — most fixes are a weld or a clamp, not a full replacement.

01

Loud roar or rumble where there wasn't one

Most often a blown muffler or broken flex pipe.

02

Rattle underneath at idle or low speed

Loose heat shield, broken hanger, or cracked flange.

03

Exhaust smell inside the cabin

Leak somewhere ahead of the muffler. Drive in today — it can be a CO hazard.

04

Failed emissions test

Could be the cat, an O2 sensor, or just a leak fooling the readings. We diagnose first.

05

Hissing or ticking from underneath

Classic pinhole leak — usually a $75 weld job, not a $400 part swap.

06

Check engine light on O2 / catalytic converter code

P0420 / P0430 / O2 codes — we scan, test, and tell you what's actually wrong.

Why drivers come here for exhaust

We're not a tire shop
that also does exhaust.

Mufflers and exhaust are the work that built this place. It's our specialty, not a side gig.

01

We bend the pipe here

Most shops bolt on universal kits. We mandrel-bend pipe in the bay to fit your exact vehicle — no kinks, no rattle, no compromise.

02

Specialty since day one

Mufflers are the original work that built this shop. Two decades of weld beads on every car that drives Detroit roads.

03

Honest weld-or-replace call

If a pinhole weld will hold for years, that's what we recommend. We don't sell parts that aren't needed.

MagnaFlow cat-back install on my TRX. They had it on the lift in 20 minutes, welded the hangers clean, and the sound is exactly what I wanted — deep at idle, no drone on the highway. Three other shops told me they'd have to order parts. These guys had me out the same afternoon.

Truck started sounding like a Harley overnight. The Midas down the street wanted $680 to replace the whole assembly. These guys put it on the lift, showed me the cracked flex pipe, welded it up for $95. Drove home quiet. Real shop, real people.

Wanted a deeper note on my Si without it being obnoxious. They walked me through three muffler options, took the time to play me sound clips. The one they spec'd is perfect — wife-approved at idle, sounds like a car when I push it.

Exhaust FAQ

The questions
we get at the counter.

Quoted after we put the car on the lift and see the part. Most jobs run a fair price for muffler-only work, more if other exhaust components need attention. You get a firm written number before any wrench turns — no over-the-phone guessing.

Most muffler and exhaust jobs are 2–4 hours from drop-off to keys-back. Custom cat-back installs are 90 minutes to 2 hours. We tell you the timeline at drop-off and text or call when the car is ready.

Often yes. If the pipe is structurally sound and just has a pinhole leak or cracked flex section, a clean MIG weld is faster and cheaper than a full part swap. We make the honest call — repair when it makes sense, replace when it doesn't.

A new muffler alone won't fix a failed emissions test if the root cause is the catalytic converter or an O2 sensor. We diagnose the actual issue first and tell you exactly what needs to be done to pass.

Yes. Straight-through performance mufflers, cat-back kits (Borla, MagnaFlow, Flowmaster, MBRP), axle-back upgrades, X/H pipe mid-pipes, and resonator deletes. Tell us the sound you want and we'll spec the build.

Not always. P0420 / P0430 codes can come from a bad upstream O2 sensor, an exhaust leak ahead of the cat, or a failing cat itself. We scan, smoke-test, and confirm before we recommend the cat — a new cat is expensive, we make sure you actually need one.
